Understanding

Hearing
Aids

Hearing aids are remarkable devices designed to amplify sounds and improve your hearing ability. They consist of three primary components:

  1. Microphone: Collects sound from the environment.
  2. Amplifier: Increases the volume of collected sounds.
  3. Speaker: Transmits amplified sounds into the ear.

Hearing aids come in various styles, and selecting the right one depends on your degree of hearing loss, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Modern hearing aids also feature advanced programs and settings that can reduce background noise, enhance speech clarity, connect seamlessly to your smartphone, and much more.

Styles

We have a range of hearing aid styles to suit your lifestyle and hearing needs:

  • Behind-the-Ear (BTE): BTE hearing aids are worn behind the ear and are suitable for a wide range of hearing loss levels. They are connected to a custom earpiece or earmold that fits snugly into the ear canal. BTE hearing aids offer excellent sound quality and are easy to handle.
  • Receiver-in-Canal (RIC): RIC hearing aids are similar to BTE models but are smaller and more discreet. The receiver (speaker) is placed in the ear canal, while the main body rests behind the ear. RIC hearing aids provide a natural listening experience and are compatible with smartphone connectivity.
  • In-the-Ear (ITE): ITE hearing aids are custom-made to fit within the outer ear. They are suitable for mild to severe hearing loss and offer features like volume control and telecoil options. ITE hearing aids are easy to manage and offer comfort and discretion.
  • In-the-Canal (ITC): ITC hearing aids are slightly smaller and fit partially in the ear canal. They are less visible than ITE models and provide excellent sound quality. ITC hearing aids are perfect for individuals who prefer a balance between discretion and performance.
  • Completely-in-Canal (CIC): CIC hearing aids are smaller and more discreet, fitting deep within the ear canal. They are nearly invisible to others and are ideal for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. CIC hearing aids offer clear sound quality and comfort.
  • Invisible-in-Canal (IIC): IIC hearing aids are even smaller than CIC models, making them virtually invisible when worn. They are custom-fitted deep within the ear canal. IIC hearing aids are suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.
